"Interrelation between telecommunications, information and communications technologies stimulates the production of new products and services as well as a new view to conducting business", this is the opinion of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) management.
   The World Summit on Information Society will be held from 10 to 12 December 2003 at the Exhibition complex PALEXPO in Geneva, Switzerland. It will gather not only Member States, UN specialized agencies but also industrial leaders, non-governmental organizations, media representatives.
   The World Summit on Information Society organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will present a unique opportunity for all key stakeholders to assemble at a high-level gathering and to develop a better understanding of the construction process of single infocommunication space using the latest achievements in the field of ICT.
   Nuri Akhmedov, General Director of AzEuroTel JV is a Member of the Azerbaijan Delegation to be presented at the highest level and headed by Ilkham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan.
   ICD Exhibition for Development Platform will be held along with the Summit from 9 to 13 December 2003 at the Hall 4 of the Exhibition complex PALEXPO. Governments, companies, national and international organizations from 80 countries around the world will gather together to demonstrate their achievements in the field of infotelecommunication technologies. At the exhibition Azerbaijan will be presented by a common stand combining both governmental and commercial structures. AzEuroTel company will provide visitors with high-speed Internet access, opportunity to use IP-telephony as well as direct online broadcasting from the exhibition.
