AzEuroTel JV represents the new project of a uniform interbank network of Azerbaijan (part of which is the organization of trade-dilling system of Baku Interbank Currency Stock Exchange).
At the preparation of the given project the basic emphasis was made on the conformity of the requirements to bank data transmission networks formed in world practice:
 Provision of data protection from casual or deliberate unauthorized access..
Provision of reliability of data transmission.
The Principle: the customer does not pay twice, that is the network should be functionally expanded without loss of the previous investments of customer.
The network should support the work with integrated data (data, digital voice, videodata).
Opportunity of the integration in global networks (SWIFT, REUTERS, Western Union, Dow Jones Telerate, Internet, and others).
It is known, there are two approaches in provision of data protection. The first approach is based on the use of data transmission physical environment, which in essense does not allow the possibility of unauthorized access. For today the use of fiber-optic technology is universally recognized solution on the basis of such approach. The second approach is based on the application of hardware algorithms and program cipher information.
So two packages of the documents are prepared for provision of bank services:
 For large and medium size offices the connection to AzEuroTel’s existing fiber-optic SDH network on the fiber-optic basis of the whole bank network communication covering at the moment all central Exchange of Baku. A complete complex of services is provided with the use of this variant including high quality telephone voice-frequency lines of Exchange-497, digital videoconference lines, digital channels from 2400 to 128 bps for the access to the global bank networks (SWIFT, REUTERS, Western Union, Bloomberg, Dow Jones Telerate and others), to the verification centres of credit cards by X.25 and X.28 protocols, to the organized network of cash-points as well as for the access to the trade-dilling system of Baku Interbank Currency Stock Exchange.
For small offices 2- or 4-wire copper connections from 19.2-128 Kbps. In this case Bank-client gets the limited number of services at the choice of the customer (Internet, BICSE, SWIFT and others). At such a connection AzEuroTel does not guarantee the complete protection from unauthorized access to the copper sites of allocated lines.
