DECT standard describes the radioaccess technology for the transmission of information. It is completely digital standard and therefore it allows to provide all digital communication servicesincluding ISDN. The sphere of DECT application encloses the simple wireless telephone to the system providing various telephonic services.
The basis of DECT includes the concept of absolute personalization of communication which allows passing from the old principle of a secondary network «the telephone to each family, apartment, working place» to the principle «the telephone to each person» that should result in the fundamental changes of the primary network and later to the whole telecommunications infrastructure. As a matter of fact , DECT completes the development of the wireless systems of the second generation. In this standard the absolute majority of so-called «high technologies» and the analytical achievements of telecommunication service are used that makes it one of the stones in the foundation of the development of the third generation wireless systems.
DECT has demonstrated its competitive ability in the inexpensive systems market and has the potential for the further reduction of the cost. Its main technical innovation- a dynamic channel choice proved to be very reliable.
