“AzEuroTel” JV’s News Release from 20 February 2008
International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has awarded AzEuroTel Company with Anniversary Certificate for support and contribution towards activity of ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) for the last 10 years.
Since September 1998 AzEuroTel is a member of ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D), taking part in all ITU initiatives, participating in different conferences, work groups sessions, trainings and exhibitions organized by ITU.
So, we were the only representatives from Azerbaijan on ITU World Telecom 1999, 2003. Participating with our stand, we conducted on-line reporting from the exhibition and anyone could see the exhibition by visiting our web-site.
Our representatives actively participate in ITU-D Sector sessions. This gives to AzEuroTel Company an opportunity to be aware of the latest ITU initiatives as well as proceed with its strong contribution so as to develop the information-communication technologies.
We are proud of evaluation of our participation in ITU activity, and we will continue mutually - beneficial profitable cooperation.
ITU is the leading United Nations agency for information and communication technologies. Director of Cybernetics Institute Academician T. Aliyev presents to Mr. N.Ahmadov, General Director of “AzEuroTel”, Intellekt-2007 prize in “The Best Manager of the Year in Communication and Information Technologies sphere” nomination.
Chairman of Standing Commission on Economic Policy of Milli Parliament, Academician Ziyad Samed-zadeh presents to Mr. Rizvan Safarov, representative of “AzEuroTel”, Deputy General Director, Intellekt-2007 prize in the nomination “For High Quality of Provided Services”.
The solemn ceremony on Presentation of “INTELLEKT-2007” Prize was held on 15th December 2007 in Guba Ball Room, Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Intellekt Prize was founded jointly by IT Magazine and Azerbaijan Association on Project Management. This prize is annually presented for “The Best Project of the Year” in several economic spheres. The owners of this prize are the persons, companies, institutions that can combine into one experience, ideas, technologies and use them for the economical development in our country.
Mr. Nuri Ahmadov, General Director of “AzEuroTel” was honoured with INTELLEKT-2007 prize in the nomination “The Best Manager of the Year in Communications and Information Technologies field”.
INTELLEKT-2007 prize in the nomination “For High Quality of Provided Services” was gained by the staff of “AzEuroTel”.
“AzEuroTel” has been already working on telecommunication market of Azerbaijan over 10 years.
The basic concepts of the successful activity are high quality and reliance of provided communication services, orientation towards clients’ needs and applying modern communication services innovations.
The staff of “AzEuroTel” under the management of Mr. N. Ahmadov was awarded by numerous international prestigious awards and prizes for quality, the best trademark as well as Gold Medal “For Excellence in Business Practice”, Geneva, 2004.

Yesterday, on 27 March, 2007, the 3rd International Awarding Ceremony of Caspian Integration Business Club, «Caspian Energy Integration Award - 2007» presentation was held in Gulustan Palace.
“AzEuroTel” JV was awarded with premium in the nomination of “Telecommunication Company of the year”.
